Central Mass DataCommon Helps Expand Data Capacity, Innovation
The Central Mass DataCommon is an interactive data portal and visualization tool that provides easy access to information on a wide range of topics -- including demographics, economic development, education, the environment, energy, health care, housing and transportation on the 39 cities and towns of central Massachusetts and 22 municipalities of the Montachusett region.
The new portal is geared for data users at all levels to help "non-profits, civic institutions and municipalities expand their capacity to use technology and data in innovative ways to advance their goals."
The Central Massachusetts Data Common was built in cooperation from the Massachusetts Area Planning Council and the Montachusett Regional Planning Commission.
The project has been funded by the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and the Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts.
